The Law Offices of James S. Rogers filed suit against the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Puget Sound Travel League, Northwest Challenge League and the World Tenpin Bowling Association on behalf of a former youth bowler who was sexually abused by their coach, Ty Treddenbarger.

Ty Treddenbarger, a well-known bowling coach in King County, drugged, sexually assaulted and otherwise abused children. Many of his victims were children he coached on various bowling teams and leagues. Treddenbarger took photographs and/or videos of his assaults and abuses. Ty Treddenbarger was arrested in 2017 for second-degree child molestation and possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He is currently incarcerated.

The suit alleges that defendants failed to warn of Ty Treddenbarger’s predatory and dangerous pedophilia. And that defendants were responsible for the investigation, hiring, training, disciplining and supervising of Treddenbarger. Defendants failed to intervene to prevent Treddenbarger from having overnight unsupervised access to minors.
